Fun from the morning to the late evening

Animal lovers will enjoy the speed of the dog sleds. These rides can be experienced in different lengths from few minutes to safaris that last for several days. You can get a sled ride also by reindeers, Lapland’s native population.

Use your muscles and go hiking by snowshoes or nordic skis. Resorts have guided tracks and paths that are easily accessible. Lean-tos along the way invite you to have a break. You may also book a guided tour during which you’ll be able to try different kind of activities in the nature.

Snowmobiles let you go deeper and farther in the wild nature. The fast and furious can get their heart rate up on a cart race on ice.

Don’t lose your beat even in the evenings or if the weather happens to be bad. Resorts have a variety of activities that are not related to snow. Go to a gym, have a bowling tour, visit a nature center or spend a relaxing day in a spa.

Finland is the country of hundreds of thousands saunas. Every resort have their own speciality. One of the most whimsical is perhaps a sauna on sled runners that can be found for example in Ruka. The most unique one is the one in Ylläs, where you can try a sauna built in a gondola lift.

For a hot place, a sauna is a great place to chill out. When it comes to relaxing, think about the dark, starry nights, too. The Nordic sky can create long-lasting memories. Take a few steps off from the slopes into the dark and mysterious forests. The starry sky with the Nordic lights might change your perspective regarding everyday worries.
