Levi: What’s new for winter 2025–2026

Levi opened its winter season on 3 October 2025. The ongoing seven-month ski season is strengthened further by major updates on the South Slopes. Ski.fi listed all the new features.

A brand-new favorite debuts on the South Slopes for winter 2025–2026, as slopes 8.2 and 8.3 have been combined into one impressive run.

Levi once again opened the ski season exceptionally early, already on 3 October 2025. The early start launched a season lasting more than seven months and brings several exciting upgrades. We toured the resort and listed 11 highlights for skiers:

1. More snow in the south

A new snowmaking line has been built on the South Slopes, significantly improving snowmaking efficiency. Investments in the system enable an earlier start to the season and more consistent conditions throughout winter.

2. South is twice the size

The Levi South slope is a long-time favorite and therefore often crowded. Extensive earthworks were carried out during summer, combining the adjacent 8.2 and 8.3 runs into one impressive slope. The width has been expanded so much that in places it is now twice as wide as the original South slope. The new slope also features automated snowmaking and new LED lighting. A new favorite is born.

3. More light

Lighting has been upgraded on slopes 8.4 and W.3. New LED lights improve safety, visibility and overall enjoyment.

4. Leevilandia is even more fun

The popular family area, Leevilandia, has expanded again for this season. There is now more flat terrain for young children and beginners in ski school. A new snow carousel brings an additional attraction to the children’s area.

5. Digitalisation continues

Mobile lift tickets are now part of everyday skiing. In winter 2024–2025, Levi became the first resort in Finland to introduce mobile lift tickets, now available from 3-hour passes to season passes. The system makes purchasing tickets easier and offers a new way to access the slopes.

6. Better training conditions

Levi’s status as a training venue for top athletes is strengthened by the Olympic Training Center recognition granted in spring 2025, awarded for long-term development of winter-sport conditions. A major update this winter is a new terrain park on the front slopes, set to feature world-class boxes.

7. More dining options

Bistro West took its first steps in February 2025 at the base of the Levi West chairlift. This season, the restaurant takes the on-mountain dining experience to a new level. During the winter holidays, a pop-up café, Ahmatti Cafe, will also open next to Leevilandia after a successful test run last winter.

8. New restaurant at Levi Six

For winter 2025–2026, Levi expands its slopeside dining with an American-style diner opening at the base of Levi Six. The restaurant will open in time for the winter holiday season.

9. A new café for the gondola

A new café has opened in the gondola restaurant building.

10. More space for cars

Accessibility to the South Slopes has improved and a new car park for 800 vehicles has opened.

11. Joining the Indy Pass network

Levi strengthens its international offering by joining the Indy Pass network in winter 2025–2026. The network includes more than 270 ski resorts across Europe, the United States, Canada, Japan and South America.
