The Finnish Ski Area Association’s Ambition and Vision

The Finnish Ski Area Association’s ambition is to be among the industry leaders
in managing climate and nature-related impacts and promoting positive impacts
in Finland.

FSAA’s vision is for the ski resort industry to take climate and biodiversity into
account responsibly. We are committed to effective measures to manage climate
and nature-related impacts.

Sustainability Tools and Training Provided by the FSAA

FSAA has been working systematically to promote sustainability in ski resorts for
many years and provides its member ski resorts with tools through its materials
bank at ski.emmi.fi:

  • Finnish Ski Area Association Sustainability Guide and Handbook (2022)
  • Energy-Efficient Ski Resort Guide (2010)
  • Industry Sustainability Guide (2020)
  • Industry Environmental Roadmap (2023)
  • Environmental Programme as a Requirement for the Ski Resort of the Year
    Award (2023)
  • Sustainability Reporting (2025)
  • Regular training sessions for member companies
