1. Background for the Code of Ethics
The Finnish Ski Area Association (FSAA) and its member companies are committed to providing both Finnish and international visitors with safe, inspiring outdoor experiences in ski resorts and bike parks.
This Code of Ethics outlines how FSAA and companies within the ski area industry act ethically and responsibly in their operations.
2. Customers
Customers are treated like fellow skiers – with friendliness and respect. Our goal is to provide guests with unique experiences supported by professional and welcoming service, high-quality facilities, and a strong focus on safety.
3. Role as an Employer
The ski area industry recruits, provides training and development opportunities, and rewards based on performance and competence – regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, nationality, ethnic background, political views, or any other similar factors.
Any form of physical, psychological, verbal, or sexual harassment is strictly prohibited.
The ski area industry complies with collective labor agreements and labor legislation.
4. Industry, Members, and Partners
The ski area industry operates with openness and honesty, always in compliance with applicable laws and official regulations.
We also expect our partners to act in accordance with this Code of Ethics.
5. Environment
We care deeply about nature and the environment. The Finnish Ski Area Association aims to develop the industry’s environmental work to be progressive and comprehensive.
6. Safety
The ski area industry takes responsibility for the safety of its customers and employees. Promoting slope safety is a key priority, and continuous improvement is part of our work.
7. Financial Reporting and Supervision
The accounting and financial statements of the Finnish Ski Area Association are prepared in compliance with all rules and regulations. We expect the same level of transparency and integrity from our members and partners.
